Clinical Psychologist

Jennifer Yedlin is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of New Jersey as well as New York state. She earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. from St. John’s University, with a specialization in child and adolescent clinical psychology. Jennifer has experience working with a diverse array of clients. She has worked with children and adolescents in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Inpatient experiences include an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, as well as St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, a long-term care facility in Queens, NY for children with chronic illnesses.

Jennifer was also part of the clinical team at Green Chimneys Children’s Services, a residential treatment center in upstate New York for children and adolescents who are unable to live at home due to emotional and behavioral difficulties. While at Green Chimneys Jennifer participated in a randomized controlled trial of a children’s adaptation of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and received a certificate of adherence in this innovative treatment.

In addition to working with clinical populations, Jennifer most recently served as the school psychologist at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway (HAFTR) lower school, serving children from kindergarten through fifth grade.

Jennifer is excited to join the team at FOCUS and believes in a team approach to treatment, including working with parents, teachers, and other service providers.

Jennifer currently lives in Teaneck, NJ with her husband and two young children.
